Beth Spotswood knew she wanted to be a fashion designer when she was in the third grade.
Her algebra and history notebooks throughout high school were filled with sketches which have turned out to be rough drafts of the "Fashion Fanatics" illustrations.
After graduating from Philadelphia University, Beth spent three years expanding her fashion skills as wardrobe mistress at Beach Blanket Babylon in San Francisco.
She is currently associate producer and development director of the Mountain Play, a non-profit theater company which produces musicals atop Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County.

As a child, Beth Cope copied illustrations from her picture books and imitated the artwork
of Toulouse-Lautrec and Modigliani. Soon, she was drawing people in every form imaginable; contemporary,
realistic, abstract. Slowly, she discovered her own technique and style which she
developed through art classes in high school and college. When Beth had children,
she made art a significant part of their lives. She continued drawing - mostly
in pencil, but all women with cute outfits. She's brightened them up with markers to make them
perfect "Fashion Fanatics."

For eight years many of the wittiest greetings on PaperTrail Press cards have come from the pen of Sandy Harrison. Now that pen bursts with color and leaps to the front of new cards. Sandy wanted us to use her illustrations of her two adorable cats. Fearing they were a little to cute for PaperTrail, we suggested something "edgier". Sandy responded with.....her husband. Hal's humor, sensuality, and appreciation for the finer things of life shine through in new Contemporary Caveman cards.
